Newport Beach Engagement Session: Jordan & Ty
This Newport Beach engagement session with Ty and Jordan was the perfect day for a beach frolic! I absolutely love shooting engagements with my couples before their wedding day. It’s so fun to get to know them in person beforehand and it’s the easiest way to break the ice before we spend such an intimate day together. Shooting an engagement session together also means that I get to watch the way a couple interacts! How you move together, talk to each other, touch, and interact when you’re at ease helps me know how to guide my couples as naturally as possible. I want your gallery to feel like you two! A cozy, elevated lil time capsule of this exciting, fleeting time before your next phase of life. And clearly, a Newport Beach engagement session is the perfect way to do that!
Newport Beach Engagement Locations
Crystal Cove is one of my top locations for engagement sessions in Newport! It truly never lets me down; the beach is always changing and the bluffs are so versatile. I’ve been going to this place for years! You will (unfortunately) need a permit for shooting here. Don’t forget to check the tide chart before your session as well so that there’s plenty of beach to shoot on! If you’re looking for other locations in the vicinity, you can check out this Laguna Beach wedding as well for some recommendations. Crystal Cove all the way up through Laguna Beach has some of the most stunning, picturesque beaches, each with its own personality. Every one is worth a shot!

This session was mostly shot on digital, plus one roll of Portra 400 just for fun (because I can’t help myself honestly). As always, The Find Lab developed and scanned my film perfectly!
